Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
Account (optional)
If you sign in with Apple, Google or email, our authentication provider (Google Firebase) stores your email address and a user ID. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one. We use this only to sign you in, to keep your settings and followed fighters in sync, and to connect CageSide Pro to your account.
Followed fighters and preferences
The fighters you follow and your alert settings are stored on your device. If you are signed in, a copy is kept with your account (in Google Firebase) so it survives a new phone.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. To link CageSide Pro to your account, the app attaches an anonymous account token (derived from a one-way hash of your email) to the purchase. Our server receives the transaction details Apple provides (plan, purchase and expiry dates, renewal status) and stores them against that hash, so Pro works on every device you sign in to.
Notifications and Live Activities
To send fight alerts and update Live Activities on your lock screen, our server stores your device’s push token, the alert types you have switched on, and the fighters you follow. You can turn any alert off in the app, or disable notifications in iOS Settings.
Picks
When you pick a fighter, our server stores the pick with a random install ID (not your name or email) so it can be graded after the fight.
Advertising (free users)
CageSide shows ads from Google AdMob to users without Pro. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions, to show and measure ads. The advertising identifier is only used if you tap “Allow” on the iOS tracking prompt; otherwise ads are not personalized. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first, through Google’s consent form, and you can change your choice later in the app’s Settings. Pro subscribers are not shown ads, and the ad SDK is not started for them.
Feedback you choose to send
If you use “Rate & send feedback” in the app, we receive your rating, your message, the app and iOS version and your device model. It is delivered to us through a messaging service (Telegram). Don’t include personal information you don’t want us to have.
2. AI features
AI verdicts, recaps, news analysis and briefings are generated by Google’s Gemini models from public fight statistics, odds and news headlines. We do not send your personal information, your email or your picks to the AI provider.
3. Third-party services
To show fight cards, statistics, images and news, the app requests public data from services such as ESPN, ufcstats.com and news sites. Like any web request, these services receive your IP address and standard request information, under their own privacy policies.

4. How we use information
- To provide the app: sign-in, sync, alerts, Live Activities, picks and Pro access.
- To show ads to free users, where you have allowed it.
- To keep the service working and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your account data for advertising.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and the followed fighters and settings stored with it. Subscription records are kept only as long as needed to provide Pro and meet legal obligations. Push tokens are removed when they stop working. You can also email us to request deletion.
6. Your choices
- Use CageSide without an account.
- Refuse tracking on the iOS prompt, or later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Turn off notifications in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Subscribe to Pro to remove ads.
7. Children
CageSide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
